Not much new info has seen the light pertaining to Artifact weapons. We’re a long way from anything resembling an expansion so it’s understandable. What irks me is that the main Legion site is currently showing off a select few images of a small amount of weapons. It’s more of a teaser than anything so i guess it’s doing its intended job of getting me pumped up and not showing me much. I do enjoy a good tease but sometimes i need more.

I went digging through reddit and a few forums, which of course led me back to wowhead of course. What i found was a nice image of what is supposedly the Frost Artifact weapons. First off let me just say how awesome these sword models are, if they are in fact real. These are models i’d have no interest in transmoging over, which should say everything that needs to be said. Good job Blizz on picking up your artistic game. Elegant swords that fit the theme without being over the top is a balancing act and one done quite well here.

My only issue is the center sword itself. It screams Unholy to me and as well it should. Nothing about it says Frost in the slightest. The current rumor seems to be that it’s the PVP sword, which would be a mistake in my opinion. I’d be more than happy if it were the final stage Artifact for Unholy since it fits the theme perfectly. I now worry that the actual Unholy weapons won’t even come close to this one weapon. I hope i’m wrong and i hope Blizz blows me away when the full weapon skins are revealed but i’ve been disappointed before. Maybe i should just listen to Rocky Dennis and hope for the best. Don’t let me down Blizz.
