The much anticipated patch 6.2.2 seems to be just around the corner. According to a recent blue post, it’s tentative release date is going to be September 1st. That’s much sooner than my cynical self anticipated. I thought this patch would get dragged out as long as possible for no other reason than content spacing. Since it’s supposedly implementing flying, this should bring some much needed excitement back to Draenor. That’s at least the plan right?

I’m really not sure if it’s going to have the same buzz it may have had a few months ago when the return of flying was first mentioned. I think it’s going to be a case of too little too late at this point but it’ll still be nice to have. Whether or not we’ll have any reason to use it is still a question i have, but if anything, it’ll make some random dailies and mount farming a bit more tolerable.

Hopefully everyone looking forward to flight has all their prerequisites and achievements complete. Apparently i’ve had mine for a while now without even realizing it. For anyone curious, there’s a nice wowhead link where you can load up your character and do a quick search to see what you have complete and/or may be missing. It’ll look something like the image below if you’re ready to roll. If not then better get to work or you’ll miss out like Buddy almost did.
