MountQuest #123

Well that escalated quickly. After a year of farming Firelands every week on five different characters, Flametalon of Alysrazor finally decided it was time to make an appearance in my bags. This mount has been one of my “bucket list” mounts for a while now so to say i was a bit excited is an understatement. I was so used to going

Mythic Logistics

My guild finally killed its first Mythic boss this week. Three months after its release we finally downed Oregorger after a not too shabby 33 attempts. I should be happier than i am but anyone that knows me, knows i’m never satisfied. Why do i think this stinks? Well, all 33 attempts occurred over a two day period this week.

Oh Ulduar, you’ll always have a special place in my heart even if i never got to experience you while you were current. I finally finished off this silly achievement that’s been in my log for six months now. Every time i’d decide to complete it, i’d get distracted by something else in game. The times i did go and

Finally i can get back to grabbing some boss kill videos. It’s been three months since Blackrock Foundry was opened for raiding so it’s better late than never i suppose. At this stage in our progress, this is basically farm content while we gear up some alts in the process. Speaking of alts, i’m deviating from my DK and gearing

Where We’re Going, We Don’t Need Roads

Great Scott! Blizzard Blizzard vs. the playerbase and the great “no flying” controversy continues. The debate has only intensified after a recent Polygon interview with lead designer Ion Hazzikostas in which he stated that there won’t be future flying in Draenor or in possible future expansions either. The article itself sparking an over 100 page debate on MMO Champion with the vast

Mount #121 comes courtesy of Mei Francis in Dalaran once again. It wasn’t cheap, well for me anyway, but i had to have it since it was another mount crossed off the list. Reins of the Wooly Mammoth seems to be one of the mounts of choice for blocking mail boxes and overall douchebaggery by many of the unsavory types this lovely

Rolling along quite nicely with my acquisition of mounts. I’m slowly but surely making progress towards the Mountacular achievement and my Felfire Hawk. Today the Armored Snowy Gryphon joins my stable. Yet another easily attained mount sold by a merchant in Dalaran.

Rawr! Hey Boo Boo, hide the pick-a-nick baskets. Reins of the Armored Brown Bear comes courtesy of another NPC. While it’s name may be deceiving, with it’s lack of said armor, who would mess with a bear wearing goggles? Only one other bear i know of cunning enough for such an act. To be honest, Baloo would probably get his foot caught

Gear for Gold

I’m a huge fan of the selling of current level armor or weapons for in game gold. The only stipulation i put on it is that the gear must come from the players themselves. Whether crafted or from in game drops, a player has put in the time to acquire said gear and can reap the rewards of selling it

Another mount farm brings yet another face-palm moment. It was expected so i’m not entirely surprised. I figured there had to be an NPC somewhere with a selection of mounts for sale that i somehow managed to miss in my travels. Enter Milli Featherwhistle and her assortment of mechanostriders. Hurray for six more mounts at barely a cost to my

Rule #3 – never open the package. Following Frank Martin’s rule kept me from attaining my Chauffeured Chopper for a while. I’m not quite sure what happened or how it happened but i never received my mount for collecting 35 heirlooms. I finished off the Heirloom Hoarder achievement a few months ago but the reward eluded me until recently. Fast forward to yesterday and
